These stones are about halfway between medium and fine, maybe around 1000 grit. They're useful for most sharpening tasks, whether the knife just needs a quick touch-up or is duller and requires more work to get it back into use. This large stone is around 6" long, 2" wide and 1" thick. Comes in a very nice cedar box.
