Sticks are the best way for sharpening longer knives like chef and other kitchen knives. This triangular diamond stick has three sides, with a different grit on each side (Coarse (270), Medium (600), & Fine (1800)). The stick itself is around 12" long by 3/4" wide, and the handle features a guard to prevent the knife edge from sliding down onto your hand. These are ideal for giving the knives a quick tune-up before using them, or for restoring a duller knife that needs more work. Just turn your wrist to go from coarse, to fine, to extra fine. These are made in the USA by Hewlett.
Package was sent Nov 27, via USPS. Over 2 weeks later I still haven't received it. Stop using USPS.
The 3 sided stick does a great job. I would have appreciated a little better handle, but all in all a great sharpening tool.
