Good blade

Hefty blade, but not too heavy. More balanced than something like a parang. I can understand how it would be used to butcher reindeer. The grind is nice, it's a scandi with a slight microbevel. Sharpened up easily. A little bit light to bite deeply in dry wood, but excellent on green wood. The grind on mine was a little bit uneven, but no biggie. That will change over time. In addition, the grind gets very thick towards the tip, so that may need some work. Mine was slightly warped, but in use it feels straight, so it's good. All in all, it's a great blade with high potential for customization. A cool modern descendant of the seax, I think.
