The Jänkä ("Wetlands") has medium-sized blade and is suitable as an all-around utility knife or for light camp chores. This version has a stainless steel blade and a handle with a formed pommel to help maintain a grip during long draw cuts.

It’s a superb knife. It’s wonderfully balanced, exceedingly sharp & the handle fits in your hand like it was made for exactly your hand. I have a large hand & if I hold the blade lengthwise like it is a fencing blade, the but end of the handle rests inside my palm. That’s not how I use a knife. This is not an epee. The detail notes for this knife read “tang end with brass nut”. If that hammered & rounded tang end was ever a nut, it in no way resembles one now. No worries, it is solid & more comfortable in your hand rounded. If I ever lost it, I would buy another right away! Great knife!
Amazing little knife. There was a bit of a hot spot on the handle and I had to file it down to be more comfortable in my hand. The blade is one of the sharpest I’ve ever seen out of the box; a true Scandi grind with no secondary bevel. I can’t wait to see how well this knife performs for my camping tasks. Proudly using it as my current every day carry knife.
This knife is well worth the price. Practical. Wicked Sharp. Comfortable in hand, beautiful solid wood handle. Nice contours. I am a female with small/medium hand size. The blade is perfect size, thickness, and shape for most slicing tasks. I do wish the handle was a little longer. (Please Add 1/4" - 1/2" and rescale to make it perfect.) I am very happy with this purchase. I like the stainless steel for Florida. Excellent and quick service from Knives of the North. I special requested a pretty knife and KotN delivered!
