I wanted a historic flavor knife for a wall display that I was putting together. I was torn between this one and a few of the other River Traders models. I settled on this one and believe that it is the most utilitarian of them all. This full-tang knife feels good in the hand. I think that you could do most anything in the wilderness with this particular knife. The fit and finish is perfect. The beautiful wood handles are held in place with 5 brass pins. The blade gives a hand forged appearance and adorns the makers mark, which is a canoe. It came razor sharp and ready to use. I’m sure that it will be easy to maintain its edge. I bought the optional leather sheath, which completes a very nice package. I think that you will be very happy if you buy it!
