This knife was designed for the Norwegian military. The large finger guard keeps the hand off the blade if the knife is used for thrusting. It has a blackened carbon steel blade and a handle which is sized to provide a firm grip in all situaitons. The sheath features a keeper strap secured by velcro, located just above the guard, and has belt slots to keep the sheath more rigidly attached to the belt, which makes a one-handed draw easier.

One important note: for best comfort and grip, the length of your middle finger should be similar to the circumference of the handle.Ordered my knife Friday and it was in the mailbox this afternoon after work!! Love the knife can't wait to test it out!
