The "Bear Leuku" is a larger camp knife designed in the style of the traditional camp knife of the Sami, who are indigenous to the far northern region of Scandinavia. It is used for butchering game, building shelter, skinning, and chopping wood. These are large, serious knives designed for serious wilderness chores. The large, shaped handle makes it easier to keep a firm grip on the knife when wearing gloves or mittens. The handle has both an inset for your index finger, and a hooked pommel, so the knife will never slip out of your hand. The full-length tang is evident by the brass nut on the pommel, giving this knife added durability. When you hold this knife in your hand, you can feel the solid construction and high quality.
